WESTERNERS is a surrealist comedy-drama that follows the lives of young diaspora adults working crap retail jobs in Western Sydney and one of their mums. Each episode focuses on our characters attempting a simple task, whether it‘s calling a relative, trying to land a paid gig, or introducing a partner to the family. Their arcs feature interweaving appearances from the others as they try their best to sort their stuff out. Jackie wants to escape retail purgatory by making a deal with The Devil. Dulla wants some personal space from a horde of women trying to marry him. At the end of the day, they‘re just trying to live their regular lives with their regular jobs out in Western Sydney.
