Screen Australia often partners with other organisations or platforms on special initiatives. These initiatives leverage finance from third parties in order to grow the funding pool available to practitioners, or to otherwise advance digital storytelling activities and talent escalation.
CURRENT INITIATIVES
The Screen Australia x ACTF Kids IP Incubator aims to empower established and emerging creators to experiment with creative tools, formats, and business models. In partnership, Screen Australia and ACTF will support up to 8 teams with content ideas to explore unique pathways to reach children’s audiences. The initiative will include a bespoke program of webinars and masterclasses with key international content strategists, analysts and marketplace experts, collaborative workshops as well as individualised 1:1 mentorship.
Digital Originals is a joint initiative of Screen Australia, SBS and NITV, aimed at developing exciting and innovative online scripted series for SBS and NITV. These series contain 6 x 10-minute episodes for broadcast on SBS and NITV platforms. Digital Originals is targeted at emerging creators working on exciting and risk-taking scripted projects. Experience in writing for screen is not necessary.
