Australian children’s TV and VOD drama is drama made for child audiences, and includes all titles created for TV and online release.

Expenditure on Australian children’s TV and VOD drama was down by 29% on 2022/23, and 10% below the 5-year average, despite a 24% increase in the average cost-per-hour. The number of children's titles produced fell by 33%. 

Of the eight titles that entered production in 2023/24, the ABC commissioned five. Six titles were supported by Screen Australia, with the agency providing 15% of the total budgets. Meanwhile, the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) supported three titles
