The level of international production activity in Australia is influenced by a range of factors inlcuding the Australian dollar, and government rebates and incentives. The overall trend for international spend in Australia, on both shoot and PDV-only titles, has been upwards, as has the proportion of total Australian expenditure.

In 2024/25, spend on international TV and VOD shooting in Australia was $302 million, up from $23 million in 2023/24. International PDV-only spend was $156 million, up by 79% on the previous year.
