The COVID-Safe Guidelines have been developed by an Australian Screen Sector Task Force and are intended to provide support and assistance to all practitioners (from screen producers to individual workers) in the Australian screen production industry.
Note as of March 2022:
Version 2 of the Covid-Safe Guidelines have been updated in consultation with Dr. Craig Dalton (Public Health Physician, Conjoint Assoc. Professor, School of Medicine and Public Health University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia). This update provides information regarding risk mitigation practices for consideration on productions, based on the current Australian landscape in relation to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Australian Screen Sector Task Force acknowledges every production that has successfully completed in this difficult and highly changeable environment since Covid-19 first emerged in 2020. We also recognise the hard work behind the scenes, both cast and crews’ ability to respond quickly to these changes and the personal responsibility each individual holds in continuing to participate in a Covid-Safe working environment.
As situations and circumstances can rapidly change, we stress that productions seek their own independent safety and legal advice appropriate to their individual production/s. These Guidelines are to be used by screen productions as a framework to develop their own COVID-Safe risk mitigation plan prior to commencing work.
Legal
These Guidelines are not a substitute for independent legal advice and it is recommended that members of the screen production industry obtain appropriate advice relevant to their particular circumstances.

Please refer and adhere to the state Work Health and Safety Regulators, and the federal Department of Health, for up-to-date advice on vaccinations, testing protocols, density requirements, masks, personal protective equipment and other control measures that may influence your production.
