Dr James Haberfield is not your average vet. He might love all animals but when it comes to treating them, he’s only got eyes for the unusual. Each week James treats a menagerie of between 100 and 150 animals that includes lizards, snakes, skinks and cockatoos. Recent patients include, Archie the sneezing Parrot, Verity the sick chameleon, and Bugsy, the snake with ‘googly’ eyes. And this being Australia, James regularly treats some of the most dangerous creatures in the world including Death Adders that contain enough venom to kill a human within six hours. In DR JAMES AND HIS BIZARRE BEASTS, we’ll follow the daily drama of life in James’s veterinary surgeries.
