The Screen Guide

The Basking shark is the second largest fish in the world. Nearly 76m long they have often led people to suppose they are marine mammals related to the whales. They are hunted commercially for their oil off Ireland, Scotland and Norway. This film is about the shark, its history and a scientist who has been researching these giants sharks and using satellites to record their movements.
