Singer Shellie Morris was born in Sydney and adopted out to a non-Indigenous family at birth. In her younger years, she learnt the flute, piano and organ as well as being operatically trained. In the late 1990s, she moved to Darwin to learn more about her Indigenous family and it was here that she found her purpose in life. From the Message Stick series.
