The Screen Guide

Five years ago, Greenough was a crumbling, derelict little hamlet, being blown to dust by the winds of the West Australian coast. Today, it looks as good as it did last century - thanks to the single-minded drive and enthusiasm of Margaret Fielman, who persuaded state and federal governments to fund the restoration of the buildings. In May 1979, Greenough was reopened during West Australia's 150th Anniversary celebrations. This is the story of its rebirth, told through the experiences of Margaret Fielman and four other women for whom the town has special meaning.
