The Screen Guide

Australian writer/director Julian Shaw takes viewers on a deeply personal journey as he examines the relationship between his own broken family and the national rugby team of his birth nation, the New Zealand All Blacks. After making the Pledge of Commitment to become an Australian citizen, Shaw follows a range of characters whose lives are touched by rugby in sometimes profound ways, as well as the All Blacks and the Wallabies themselves, to reveal fresh insights into nationalism, identity and the rivalry between his two home nations ahead of 2011's biggest sporting event.
