The Screen Guide

A formalist and structuralist look at the changing relationship between artwork, advertising and people since the 1940s. Advertisements from each era are brought to life; art-works are shown in unfamiliar forms; and a picture of life in each decade is painted in anecdotes of the times. Documentary and drama combine to form an unusual vista of the recent past and an opportunity to explore the changing styles and biases of the times.
