The Screen Guide

Doctor Graetz returns to his home town, Renmark on the Murray, to discover that the luxuriant world of his childhood has all but disappeared, and to show how and why salt is steadily destroying much of Australia's most productive land. It once provided most of our produce, but is dying because of ignorance and greed - a classic example of our inability to come to terms with our unique environment. Doctor Graetz sees the conditions along the Murray as a final warning to change our ways before the collapse of our food industry.
