The Screen Guide

Dr Christopher Anderson, anthropologist and director of the South Australian Museum, is a passionate advocate of closer relations between Aboriginal people and mainstream society. The film follows his journey as he negotiates the return of some of the museum's collection of secret/sacred objects to their communities of origin, along the way exploring their meaning and mystery. Anderson questions traditional museum policy and argues for 'human relationships before static collections'.
