The Screen Guide

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world's natural wonders, a maze of coral cays and islands - stretching over 2000 kilometres along the Queensland coast from Gladstone to the Torres Strait. The reef is many things to different people. For some, it's a major tourist destination, a fisherman's paradise, and a national park rolled into one. For others, it's simply home. The reef is complex to manage with competing interests of commerce and conservation. This series follows the fortunes of very different people working or living along the reef, each dealing with reef issues in their own way.
