The Screen Guide

During 2004 the Howard Government amended the Marriage Act to prevent gay and lesbian Australians from legal relationship recognition. Earlier that year, two Melbourne men, Andrew Balnaves and Carl Matto, married in front of 100 supportive friends and family who had never been to a gay wedding before. This documentary gathers the opinions of family, friends and work colleagues who attended the event. As they tell their stories we see growing support for the acceptance of gay marriage in Australia.
