The Screen Guide

This is a portrait of a village in the foothills of the Caucasus mountains, noted for its cohesive blend of Georgians and Ossetians. At the heart of the village is a young turkey breeder, Jimmy, who is unable to hear or speak and whose family relations are troubled. Yet Jimmy is a natural with animals and he forms a conduit between neighbouring families who have very different backgrounds and whose farming methods mix the middle ages with biodynamic theory.
