This revealing documentary tells the story of one man on a journey to one of the loneliest spots on the face of the planet and a journey into himself. Dean Miller, a marine biologist specialising in tropical waters and coral reefs, set sail for the sub-Antarctic and life on a tiny speck of an island. He was on a scientific expedition to study the return of the almost extinct Antarctic fur seal to Macquarie Island. he dedicated twelve months of his life to his work during which time he was totally isolated from the outside world. This is his story.
