The tragic 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht race saw the loss of many lives in appalling weather conditions - BLUE WATER WARRIORS captures the P3 Orion crews working around the clock co-ordinating the dramatic rescue operations of this race. It also follows the missions of the RAAF Maritime Patrol Group, who are most celebrated for their southern ocean rescues, including surveillance missions to the South China Sea for the capture and detection of arms dealers, a mission with the USS Carl Vinsen on route to the Gulf War and the well-documented Tony Bullimore rescue.
