The unknown DNA result, which ends the previous season on a cliffhanger, is revealed to show Austin is not Julian’s son. But by the end of episode 1, we discover there was a mix-up at the laboratory, and Austin is indeed Julian’s son. As the season progresses, Austin discovers more about his ancestry – is he the great-grandson of a lord or druid; he will launch his book with the support of Julian; and find love. Julian’s life will continue to be chaotic as the New Right embraces him; and as he attempts to move into publishing and “animation”. His marriage to Ingrid remains in crisis until they understand that they may need to see other people to move forward.
