Des Hicowe completed a Diploma of Arts course in Film & Television at the WA School of Art, Design and Media from 1992-1995. He has produced, written and directed two short films - ‘Mere Mortals’ (1995) and ‘Two Birds’ (2006). The former won several awards at the 10th WA Film & Video Festival in 1996.
