THE WESTBURY FAERY is an elaborate interactive multi-platform narrative that develops a unique mythology and community through audience engagement and collaboration. Through a website, social media, cinematic film sequences, published book, and augmented reality, this experience tells the story of Philip, a young Irishman who emigrates to Canada with his wife in 1837 to escape poverty and find a better life. His wife tragically dies of malnutrition, and he finds himself caught up in the Canadian rebellion. Then Phillip catches a fairy, and believes her to be the soul of his dead wife. When he is transported to Tasmania for his role in the rebellion, he takes the fairy with him, but he is not the only one to want to own her, and soon he will find he has to fight to save her.
