ASTROTURF is a 3D computer animation which tells the story of how humans are devolving through their interaction with technology. ASTROTURF presents a number of test cases which explore the themes of technological dystopia and devolution.
The first phase is hallucinogenic, the second glandular, the third - body melt. A peaceful morning in a suburban court is about to be interrupted by a deafening car crash. A few residents will be transfixed by the driver deliberately hurtling toward one of the unsuspecting houses. They will scream as he smashes headfirst through the windscreen, but no-one will see the strange tentacles erupt from the man's neck and force their way down his throat. Something weird is going on in beautiful Homesville ... and it's going to get worse.
