Alex has been making one-off documentaries and series for more than 15 years. He's worked as a writer, director, and cinematographer on subjects as diverse as science & natural history, true crime, music, religion, and sexuality. For ABC Foreign Correspondent, he's covered dementia care in China, logging in Papua New Guinea, child trafficking in Nepal, and more. He's the winner of the Australian Director’s Guild Award for Best Direction in a Documentary Series for ‘The Surgery Ship’ (2016).
