Applications Open for India Scripted Co-production 2024 Delegation

Screen Australia has opened applications to assist six Australian screen producers to travel to Goa for an Australian / Indian Co-production Day.

NFDC Film Bazaar 2023

Screen Australia has opened applications to assist six Australian screen producers to travel to Goa for an Australian / India Co-production Day. Held in partnership with Invest India, the Co-production Day will take place on 22 November 2024 to coincide with the National Film Development Cooperation (NFDC) Film Bazaar, taking place from 20-24 November 2024.

The six applicants will be supported for up to $6,000 each for travel to and for accommodation in Goa.

The initiative will provide Australian producers, who have experience with official Co-productions (or who have completed content at a comparable scale of budget), with the opportunity to meet with their Indian equivalents, to encourage early-stage creative connections and foster meaningful partnerships and relationships for official Co-productions made under the Australia-India treaty.

To be eligible for this program, applicants:

  • must be Australian citizens or residents and meet the requirements of Screen Australia’s Terms of Trade.
  • must have recent credit(s) as a lead producer on scripted series and/or features of reasonable budget with evidence of significant views, especially internationally and with regard to this opportunity, in India, e.g. on projects that have:
  • been distributed and theatrically released; or
  • been nominated for and/or a recipient of a significant international award such as awards from Toronto, Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Annecy festivals or the Academy, BAFTA, or Emmy awards; or
  • screened on broadcast television or streamed on a subscription-based platform, and having been one of the top 10 most-watched shows on that platform at time of transmission; or
  • streamed online on any reportable platform, with evidence of audiences/views in excess of 1 million or other evidence of trending on YouTube at time of release.

Priority will be given to those who have international official Co-production experience and at least one project on their slate with authentic potential for Co-production with India.

Applications from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.

Applications close 5pm AEDT on Thursday 17 October 2024.
