Samuel Paynter joins First Nations Department
Screen Australia is pleased to announce that Samuel Paynter has joined the First Nations Department in the role of Development and Investment Manager, reporting to Head of First Nations, Angela Bates.

Sam is a proud Ngarrindjeri and Ngugi man, who was raised on Arrernte country in Mparntwe, Alice Springs. He comes to Screen Australia after working in the screen sector as a writer and producer on projects including Little J & Big Cuz, Thalu, We Are Still Here, Mystery Road, Thou Shall Not Steal and Larapinta. Sam is a graduate of Screen Australia’s Indigenous Producers Program and has previously worked at First Nations production companies No Coincidence Media and Black Apple Productions.
