Australian music documentary John Farnham: Finding The Voice breaks new box office record
Australian music documentary, John Farnham: Finding The Voice tracks the public and private life of Farnham, featuring star-studded commentary from Olivia Newton-John, Jimmy Barnes, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, and many more.
Since its cinema release on 18 May, the critically acclaimed film has made significant waves, becoming the highest Australian grossing feature length documentary of all-time and the fourth biggest grossing feature length documentary in Australia ever.
With John Farnham breaking so many music records throughout his career, it is only fitting that the film about him does too.
Part of the success of the film is that audiences are drawn to homegrown stories that they can relate to. The film utilises his standing as a celebrated local icon and his extraordinary relationship with the Australian public, to provide a rare and compelling insight into Farnham’s untold story.
The film is a Beyond Oz (a Banijay company) production in association with Blink TV, presented by Sony Pictures Releasing International and Screen Australia. Key contributors include Executive Producers Mikael Borglund, Martin Fabinyi, and Paul Clarke, Director Poppy Stockell, and Writers Poppy Stockell and Paul Clarke.
