Creator and writer Jessica Redenbach and actress Lena Cruz discuss the making of new SBS comedic drama series The Unusual Suspects.

For Filipino actress Lena Cruz, the opportunity to be a part of a new series that tells the story of Filipino domestic workers in Sydney’s eastern suburbs was a dream come true.

“When has it ever happened? I think it’s the first time that we’re seeing four Filipino women on a major TV series,” Cruz explains. “It just means that I’m living in a society now where people are interested to hear those stories.”
