Call for submissions for the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market
Screen Australia is coordinating a marketplace presence at the 2014 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Market.
Widely regarded as one of the most important short film events on the international festival calendar, Clermont-Ferrand is a vital showcase and marketplace for shorts, attracting upwards of 100,000 visitors annually.
The Short Film Market will run 4–8 February 2014 alongside the Short Film Festival, with an exhibition hall, market screenings and industry meetings.
An average of 6,500 new titles are registered each year for the Short Film Market and made available for viewing by 3,300 industry delegates (including buyers, TV representatives, distributors and festival curators).
Screen Australia will present a program of around seven Australian shorts to buyers at the market. If you are interested in having your short considered for the program, please fill in the online form and submit your film by 9 October 2013.
To be eligible for the program your short must:
- have been completed after 1 January 2012
- have a maximum running time of 15 minutes
- never before have screened at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival or Market
- have a sales agent attached
- have all the required deliverables and clearances available for potential acquisition.
The Short Film Festival will run 31 January – 8 February 2014.
Last year Clermont-Ferrand screened seven Australian shorts as part of its 35th edition.
