Toronto Film Festival Programmer to visit Australia
Jane Schoettle, Programmer for TIFF, will visit Australia in April as a guest of Screen Australia to view new feature films for possible 2013 selection.
TIFF (5–15 September 2013) is one the leading film festivals in the world. In 2012, it featured 147 world premieres, over 300 attending filmmakers, 4,280 industry delegates, 1,200 accredited media and over 400,000 public attendees.
The Australian films invited to screen last year were Dead Europe, Lore, The Sapphires, Satellite Boy, Storm Surfers 3D and Underground: The Julian Assange Story.
To be eligible for selection, feature films must have been completed after September 2012 and must not have previously been submitted to the festival. If selected, the only acceptable screening format is DCP.
The festival’s selection criteria is available at: tiff.net/thefestival/submissions. Submission deadline to Screen Australia is Friday 5 April 2013.
