Rotterdam and Berlin feature financing markets – call for submissions
Deadlines are fast approaching for submissions for two major feature film co-production and financing markets - CineMart and the Berlinale Co-Production Market.
CineMart (27–30 January 2013), part of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, is an international co-production market presenting around 35 projects to co-producers, funds, sales agents, distributors, TV stations and other potential financiers.
Projects should be new or recent and should not yet have explored all possible avenues of financing. They can be in various stages of development and must not have been presented at other international co-production markets, with the exception of CineMart partnering organisations. Projects must have a director attached and have international potential. Previous Australian participants include Vincent Sheehan and Daniel Nettheim with The Hunter (CineMart 2004).
For full regulations and the online entry form visit the IFFR website.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market (10–12 February 2013) is held during the Berlin International Film Festival and the European Film Market. It is a two-and-a-half-day event for approximately 450 international producers, sales agents and distributors as well as broadcasting and funding representatives active in the field of co-production.
The market is for feature-length fiction projects for theatrical release that have international market potential and are suitable for international co-production. Submission regulations and forms are available from the Berlinale website.
The CineMart submission deadline is 17 September 2012.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market submission deadline is 24 October 2012.
