Call for applications – 2012 International Financing Forum (IFF)

The Ontario Media Development Corporation, in partnership with Toronto International Film Festival, is running the International Financing Forum (IFF), in September 2012.

IFF is a feature film co-financing event at the Toronto International Film Festival. It brings together selected international and Canadian producers developing English language projects to do business through brokered meetings and networking opportunities with other international producers, as well as international sales agents, distributors, funders, agents and executive producers.

IFF 2011 brought together producers with representatives from: Aramid Capital (UK), Bankside (UK), BBC Films (UK), Bavaria Film International (Germany), Blue Ice Global (Canada), Cinetic Media (US), eOne (Canada), Film4 (UK), Fortissimo Films (The Netherlands/Hong Kong), ICM (US), Killer Films (US), K5 (Germany), Magnolia Pictures (US), The Match Factory (Germany), Memento Films International (France), MK2 (France), Myriad Pictures (US), Participant Media (US), Pathé Entertainment (UK), Protagonist Pictures (UK), Quickfire (UK), STUDIOCANAL (France/Germany), Sundance Film Festival (US), United Talent Agency (US), Universal Pictures International (US), Voltage Pictures (US), Wild Bunch (France), William Morris Endeavor (US), Zentropa and TrustNordisk (Denmark).

To be eligible to apply, applicants must have a minimum of one full producer credit (not an executive producer credit) on a theatrically released feature by a recognisable distributor, and a market-oriented English language project in development that requires international co-production and/or financing partners. IFF will consider non-English language projects on a case-by-case basis.

The deadline for applications is 25 July 2012. (IFF will not cover any travel or accommodation costs.)
