Applications Open for Third Round of BTL: Next Step Placements

BTL Next Step placements offer a unique career accelerator opportunity for below-the-line (BTL) mid-career practitioners to step up into senior crew and leadership roles that have been identified as experiencing shortages.

The latest placements are focused on upskilling Line Producers, Location Managers, Production Managers, Post Production Supervisors, Sound Designers and Special Effects Supervisors.

Stage Two applications are now open for nine practitioners to participate in the BTL Next Steps program. These are competitively assessed paid placements for mid-career practitioners ready to upskill and elevate their careers.

Applicants may apply for any opportunity and do not need to be currently living in the location listed to apply.

• SAM Content: Line Producer (Sydney, NSW)
• Lingo Pictures: Location Manager (Botany, NSW)
• Jungle Entertainment: Production Manager (Moore Park, NSW)
• Cutting Edge: Post Production Supervisor (Mascot, NSW)
• Sweet Shop Green: Post Production Supervisor (Abbotsford, VIC)
• Walking Fish Productions: Post Production Supervisor (Brunswick, VIC)
• Boom Tracks: Sound Designer (Port Melbourne, VIC)
• Princess Bento: Special Effects Supervisor (South Melbourne, VIC)

Applications are now open and close at 5pm AEST on Thursday 4 July 2024.
