No borders New York: Deadline this Friday
Australian producers with production-ready feature film projects are invited to apply for IFP's No Borders Co-production Market, a film financing forum that takes place during the annual Independent Film Week in New York City in September.
Producers must have feature film credits. IFP will provide producers with professional pitching and industry consultation prior to participation. Throughout Film Week, participants will take part in one-to-one meetings with top industry leaders including financiers, distributors, US and international sales agents, and top festival programmers.
In addition, all industry and filmmaker participants will have access to:
- roundtable discussions, workshops and master classes with industry experts
- networking opportunities, including invitations to ‘Sneak Preview’ screenings
- access to all Independent Filmmaker Forum programming, including workshops, case studies and conversations with cutting-edge leaders in independent film and media.
Recent No Borders international co-production filmmakers and films include:
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s Howl, Sophie Barthes’ Cold Souls, Courtney Hunt’s Frozen River, Cherie Nowlan’s Introducing the Dwights, Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden’s Half Nelson, Joshua Marston’s Maria Full of Grace, Miranda July’s Me and You and Everyone We Know, Sam Garbarski’s Irina Palm, and Eran Riklis’ Lemon Tree and The Syrian Bride.
The No Borders Co-production Market will be held 18–22 September 2011.
