This documentary features stories on elephant polo, the legendary snake charmers, bands of marauding monkeys and unique footage of the very rare white tigers of Rewa. In Jaipur, the team filmed the annual Elephant Festival. Their leader, Dr. David Smith, took part in the opening procession which included a parade by the local Maharaja's camel and elephant-mounted army. This is followed by elephant races and then an earth-pounding game of elephant polo. The team's biggest challenge however, was to complete a half-hour special on Project Tiger, which has bee sponsored by many Australians. Some people spend weeks unsuccessfully seeking one glimpse of a tiger in the wild, but the ABC team struck gold - with black stripes! Within an hour of being on location they found a family of tigers and over the next few days saw many more.
