The Story Lab now seeking submissions

Werner Film Productions’ The Story Lab initiative is now seeking submissions from writers for original television concepts with international appeal.

Successful applicants will have their concepts thoroughly creatively workshopped to create a high-concept, market-ready television series ready for the next stage of development.

The Story Lab is looking for compelling stories with a unique blend of Australian voices alongside internationally appealing concepts and characters. Up to three successful writers will be the given the opportunity to work alongside a creative producer, Joanna Werner and the Werner Film Productions team, and potentially an international script consultant. The goal is to advance these nascent projects to the next stage of development so that writers can then produce the necessary materials to take it to market. If the project is funded into production, Werner Film Productions intend for the writer to retain a key creative role working on the series.

Werner Film Productions received Screen Australia support for this initiative through the Enterprise Stories program. They are best known for the internationally successful, award-winning television series Dance Academy.

Writers with all levels of experience are invited to apply by 5pm Friday 10 July 2015.
