Episode one 'NO. 1 DOCTOR’S ROCKS' looks at the cultural phenomena of the ‘shack’ through the eyes of Tasmanian historians, writers, builders, bureaucrats and ‘shackies’. As we visit shacks and shack communities from Bruny Island in the south to Sandy Cape on the far west coast, we learn about Tasmania’s unique crown land selection process. Episode two 'TITANIA’S PALACE' looks at ‘the shack’ in terms of activity rather than architecture. We meet the Tasmanian fishermen and hunters, the recluses, the cooks, the artists, the poets, the tinkerers and the gardeners.
