Helena Brooks

Helena Brooks is an award-winning film and TV director known for her work on crime-drama 'Black Snow', starring Travis Fimmel, and crime-comedy 'Population: 11', featuring Ben Feldman, which earned a Best Director nomination at the Australian Directors Guild Awards. Previously, Helena was set-up director for 'Gold Diggers', and nominated for Best Director at the ADG Awards and Best Narrative Comedy at AACTA. Other notable projects include Celeste Barber’s 'Wellmania' for Netflix, 'Funny Girls' with Rose Matafeo, and co-writing and directing the Palme d’Or-nominated short film 'Nothing Special'. Helena holds an M.A. in Screenwriting & Directing and is based in Sydney.
