Enterprise program to be reassessed

Applications for Enterprise People to close 30 September 2021.

“The Enterprise program has taken many forms since its first iteration 13 years ago, facilitating invaluable personal development opportunities and supporting exciting business ideas. The screen industry is ever evolving, with new opportunities and challenges emerging for both practitioners and businesses every year, and we want to ensure Screen Australia adapts to the changing needs of the industry so we can continue to provide vital and impactful support. Screen Australia will be reviewing the entire Enterprise program to confirm we are coordinating our efforts across the agency and offering valuable assistance to develop the next generation of screen practitioners and usher in new waves of innovation for businesses in the industry,” said Nerida Moore, Head of Development at Screen Australia.

Applications for the Enterprise People program will remain open until 5pm AEST 30 September 2021. Following this, the program will be on hiatus as it is reviewed, along with the Enterprise Business & Ideas program, with the intention of a refreshed Enterprise program becoming active in early 2022. Part of the assessment will be to look at what other activities and initiatives are being undertaken and are available through Screen Australia as well as those from state agencies, broadcasters and industry bodies, with the aim of examining how best to assist the sector with this program moving forward.

“While reviewing the program, and how we can best implement the fund in the future, the goal of the program remains embedded in the wide range of our ongoing initiative funding, such as Digital Originals, UNTAPPED, and Emerging Writer’s Incubator, as well as our Inclusive Attachment Scheme and Gender Matters, which this year launched the Gender Matters Connects mentor program with WIFT Australia and Gender Matters Webinars with Screenworks. We will continue to work closely with industry partners to support other industry development opportunities,” said Nerida Moore.

Applications for Enterprise People include:
