Documentary Development funding now open year-round

From 25 May 2020 Screen Australia will open its Documentary Development program to receive applications year-round to allow greater flexibility for the sector.

Screen Australia’s Head of Documentary Bernadine Lim said, “Now more than ever it’s essential we support filmmakers to plan their projects and encourage the development of compelling ideas. We are very pleased to be able to open this up to allow creatives to submit applications for development at a time that best suits their project. We hope this gives the sector increased flexibility in this complex time.”

The turnaround time for decisions is approximately six weeks from the receipt of an eligible application.
