Venice International Film Festival
Italy
All genres
Regarded as one of the top three feature film festivals in the world (alongside Cannes and Berlin) and one of the oldest (first time in 1932) Venice is certainly one of the most prestigious film festivals, presenting world-class films with highly anticipated red carpet guests from Hollywood, Europe and around the world, often timed for Oscar’s campaigns. It has very strict entry conditions, with most sections requiring world premiere status.
